So what are they really asking for? Why would you take 2 from the 5 and then add 3 back after you get 10. Which after really looking at it if you take 2 from 5 you get 3 not 2 which is what had been written (8+2 = 10 then add 3) so if you were really following what she wrote as the “correct” answer 8+3 would = 11 then add 3 would make 14 not 10.
So to really “make” 10 here you go. 1+9 2+8 3+7 4+6 5+5 These all make 10 with addition. I really don’t get this common core crap and how kids can make any common sense out of that nonsense.
The other day Lillian was in such a bad mood. Sore from her spina bifida occulta so I told her she should pass on the walk and just chill out. So we are heading back from the walk and we find her like this by a rock and crying. Sooooo we went on another walk. #Strongestgirliknow
After the kids and I got back from a family friends birthday, which was so much fun! We had a huge dinner and a ton of dishes. I always do them for my mom when I go over, just because I love her and want to help out. Well my dad came over while I was washing them up and goes. " You are the best daughter and the best mom around and we are so happy you’re ours."
I almost started to cry. so sweet and just what I needed to hear over the last hellish year I have endured. lol made my night.
There are people in this world who are being doused with acid for not being obedient enough or just for being who they are, and we’re sitting here arguing over whether the word “bossy” should be banned in schools because it “oppresses little girls”? I’m disgusted. I really am.
We all went and climbed a mountain and also climbed a tower at the top. We went the loooooong walk and took our time, spent over three hours in the woods. Hannah did AMAZING! She walked the whole way. We were so proud. She only started crying at the end of our hike when we told her we could not live there. She told us: “Her heart was broken and upside down.” LOVE HER! Went back to my parents and had an amazing dinner.
